German Regtech Firm Regnology to Acquire...

Regnology, a Frankfurt-based software provider specialising in regulatory reporting solutions, has announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Finance, Risk & Regulatory Reporting (FRR) business of Wolters Kluwer.

The acquisition marks a step in Regnology’s efforts to expand its capabilities across finance, risk, and regulatory reporting.

It will also broaden the company’s presence in key markets and strengthen its ability to assist financial institutions in meeting jurisdiction-specific requirements, handling granular data, and managing cross-border compliance.

Clients are expected to benefit from a combined platform that integrates Regnology’s cloud-first infrastructure with FRR’s existing tools, offering solutions for both legacy and cloud-based environments.

The transaction is anticipated to close in the coming months, subject to regulatory approvals, employee consultations, and standard closing conditions.
